Deployment questions, answered
Do I need to install anything on each workstation?
No. Transport rules and mailbox configuration apply server-side with nothing to install. The Outlook add-in deploys centrally and adds per-user signature choice.
Which method should I choose?
For per-user signature choice and multi-signature, the Outlook add-in is recommended. For an organisation-wide enforced signature across every client, transport rules are ideal. The two can coexist.
Do signatures work on Outlook web and mobile?
With transport rules, yes: the signature is appended server-side, so on every client including web and mobile. The add-in covers Outlook Windows, Mac and New Outlook.
Do you handle shared mailboxes and aliases?
Yes. Directory mapping handles shared mailboxes, delegations and aliases, and the add-in applies the right signature to each mailbox.
Can signatures be multilingual?
Yes. Content (position, department, notices) can be translated per team member, and each person chooses their signature language in the add-in.
